Selena Gomez celebrated her 19th birthday on Friday by spending time with boyfriend Justin Bieber, reading his sweet Twitter messages, hitting up a donut shop and Disneyland, followed by a romantic dinner. She may still love to have fun at the most magical place on earth but, with the recent release of the August issue of Elle Mexico, it's obvious this one-time Disney starlet is very much all grown up. So, is she getting too mature for her teeny-bopper, pop sensation boyfriend, Justin Bieber?
Gomez fronts the magazine looking pretty and sophisticated; her hair in lush curls and her makeup nude and smoldering. She may be all covered up in a long-sleeved Altazurra number, complete with a wide-brim Scala Pronto hat and gold Gucci belt with tassels, but the image of the Monte Carlo actress translates as incredibly sexy... and much older than her newly 19 years.
Elle Mexico calls Selena Gomez "La Chica del Momento" (Girl of the Moment), and the glossy couldn't be more right in that declaration. Of course, it doesn't hurt that she's dating "El Chico del Momento" Justin Bieber who, although only 17, definitely has shown he can keep up with an older woman.
Selena Gomez would be way out of the league of a typical 17-year-old, but fame and fortune has apparently matured the Biebs (and Gomez). They still seem to make a perfectly adorable couple, and they both can definitely share and understand the pressures of being the girl and boy of the moment -- and what a very long moment it is.
