Ex-Doll Joins Syfy Being Human

The stars of Dollhouse haven't been very visible since Fox pulled the plug a year and a half ago, but this summer they're all starting to reemerge, blinking, into the Hollywood spotlight.

Eliza Dushku (Echo), for example, has completed work on a Torchwood motion comic for Starz called Torchwood: Web of Lies alongside John Barrowman and Eve Myles, following on Starz's success with a similar online graphic video for Spartacus; Dushku's also creating some fanfare for season 3 of White Collar as a forthcoming guest star. Olivia Williams (Adelle) just popped up in the thriller Hannah. Tahmoh Penikett (Paul) showed up recently on The Killing. Fran Kranz (Topher) embodied the prototypical disreputable rocker a few months ago in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid sequel. Enver Gjokaj (Victor) is waiting to hear whether the pilot for his new series, Eden, has been picked up by USA.

And Dichen Lachman (Sierra) has just landed a role on season 2 of Syfy's hit reincarnation of Being Human, Syfy's most-watched wintertime scripted series in six years.

The Australian actor will play Izumi, a reclusive, ancient member of the vampire aristocracy who returns unexpectedly to Boston, causing upheaval for Aidan (Sam Witwer) and the rest of the vampire community there.

Production is about to start in Montreal. The air dates for season 2 have not been scheduled, but should be very early in 2012. Either way, we're looking forward to Lachman matching wits with our hapless heroes.
