Tips To Improve Your Redbox Rental Experience

$1 for DVD and $1.50 Blu-ray rentals from Redbox is a great value, but it can be a pain to go through the rental process. You’re often faced with limited selections, availability, and locations. How often have you been stuck waiting in line behind someone slowly browsing titles while you simply want to return your disc before the 9pm deadline? While there’s not much you can do except ask politely of others, you can streamline your Redbox rental process and avoid joining those other slowpokes.

Both Redbox’s website and iPhone app allow you to select a particular location and view the available selection in advance. This lets you check out ahead of time if there’s anything worth watching. Instead of heading over to the local Redbox and slowly browsing through the titles, you can easily find out what’s at that location and find something you’d like to watch. You can create an account and reserve your selection so that no one else snags it before you get there. Now it’s a quick in and out, or not making the trip at all if there’s nothing that piques your interest. The location search also lets you find additional Redbox locations since you can return the discs to any location.

There are also multiple ways to snag free rentals at Redbox. You can sign up for Redbox's mailing list that subscribers say send them promo codes quite frequently. There are also websites that track and publish promo codes, which are apparently reusable for different credit cards. You can also earn additional free rentals directly from Redbox with programs such as their Refer-A-Friend program.

Here are quite a few additional reads and resources on Redbox, well worth your time to check out!
