A Lady Gaga – Dolly Parton collabo? Yes, please! In news almost too magical for words, the forever-awesome Parton has gushed to E! News about wanting to be “Lady GooGoo” to Lady’s Gaga.
“Maybe we should do something together — GooGoo and Gaga! You know those GooGoo candy bars in Nashville? I could be Lady GooGoo,” Parton said.
Seems Parton is more than a little partial to Gaga’s outrageous sartorial choices, likening them to her own.
“I’ve always been very gaudy myself, ever since I started in the business, but I always get a kick out of the crazy stuff she does. But she’s very musical, she’s very talented actually,” the country superstar told The Associated Press this week.
The iconic singer-songwriter will release Better Day — her 43rd studio album — through her own Dolly Records label next month. The album features 12 new compositions penned by Dolly herself. Parton will perform her new single “You & I” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on May 26. Dolly will then take the record on the road with dates to play several arenas across the US and UK this summer.
