The Rockies and Mets conclude their 4 game series with Game 2 of their double-header at Citi Field. The Mets will send LHP Chris Capuano (1-0, 6.75 ERA) to the mound in hopes of salvaging the final game of their current 7 game homestand(1-5 currently). In his first start for the Mets he was not particularly sharp, but effective enough to pick up the win. Across his 6 IP, he gave up 4 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 8 Washington Nationals. Capuano has solid career numbers against the Rockies, compiling a 4-3 record, over 51.1 IP, and has an ERA of 2.98. Mets’ killer Troy Tulowitzki is 3-3 in his career against Chris Capuano including a Home Run
On the mound for the Rockies is LHP Jorge De La Rosa (1-0, 1.74 ERA). His first two starts of the year were both cut short by a lingering blister on his pitching hand. Over those two starts he only went 10.1 IP. Del La Rosa has a record of 3-1 and an ERA of 4.30 in 9 appearances (3 starts) against the Mets in his career.
